Generally I find that plants respond well to the "stay" command-C/T
using water or plant food as the reward.  However, if you ask them to do
it for too long, they get sneaky and lean towards the sun, so only try
it for short periods.  Also, they have trouble offering this behavior in
the face of distractions such as rambunctious young dogs, or cats, and
may self-destruct if the latter invade their safety zone. Judy Stoodley
