   Title: Hot Dog Retrieve ¤

   I was the one who told about it--it was a training challenge that I
undertook with Chamois on five minutes notice.
   The rules were thus: dog and handler started out with dog sitting at
heel at the starting line; handler is not allowed to cross the starting
line; handler tosses a room temperature hot dog a minimum of eight feet;
handler may use up to four commands to have dog retrieve hot dog to
hand.
   I dropped in on a training class with Chamois--everyone else in the
class had had a week to train the Great Hot Dog Challenge. Chamois
covered me in totally undeserved glory by doing it not just once, but
twice.
   I told about this on Click-L and a whole bunch of people immediately
took it up, with varying levels of success.
   Now, YOU tell me, Helix, how would you train this? I'll give you a
hint: the key is all in how you break it down. <devilish grin>
